The measurement is of the entire insole of the boot, not the foot, so you should measure your foot and there should be a gap of approximately 1 cm between the insole measurement and your foot measurement. The measurements shown here are subject to slight variations of 1-2 mm.

To measure your foot place a sheet of paper against a wall and place your heel against the wall, mark with a pencil, keeping it straight, where the tip of your big toe ends, with a metre measure the distance between the two marks.
